WHITE VILLAGES TREK
For independent walkkers, we have a circular tour of the white villages of the Sierra de las Nieves and Sierra Prieta, staying in a different village each night. These picturesque “pueblos blancos” offer an insight into the cultural cocktail that makes Andalucia such a distinct region of Spain. The blend of Moorish, Roman and Christian influence have shaped the streets, houses, cuisine, the people and village life. Olive, almond, avocado and orange groves abound – making for enchanting scenery all year round.
Our routes follows a mixture of Roman paved road, drovers tracks, connecting village paths and the old Camino Real (Royal Road) used for centuries by legions, merchants and peasant farmers. The summit of Mt. Prieta affords tremendous views south to the coast, east to Sierra Nevada and west to the Serrania de Ronda.
